If you're looking for something to binge-watch in 2023, look no further than Netflix. There are plenty of Netflix original shows this year, and we've selected our "most anticipated shows" below. Lockwood & Co: Staffel 1
Based on the fantasy adventure novels of the same name by Jonathan Stroud, this 8-part series stars Ruby Stokes (Bridgerton), Ali Hadji-Heshmati (Alex Rider) and newcomer Cameron Chapman, a trio of ghost hunters. teens battling supernatural forces and alternative London.
Luke Treadaway and Morvern Christie also star in this up-and-coming supernatural show, and if it's successful, you can expect to see more adaptations of Stroud's YA book series in the future.

The original creators of the show are not involved in the production, so this raises a red flag! Because this new action comedy series comes from the creators ofcobra kai, we have no doubt that it will be as much fun as this entertaining martial arts show. As for the plot,obliterationtells the story of an elite special forces team that thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas. But after defusing a bomb that turns out to be fake, his mission, according to Netflix, is to "fight your flaws, overcome your personal problems, find the real bomb, and save the world." A piece of cake, right? We don't think so!

As they deal with the impact this is having on their lives, they must avoid the powerful and infamous agents who have taken notice of their new abilities. We don't know much more than that, but it will all be revealed when this six-part series hits Netflix later this year.

Remains of the House of Usher
Mike Flanagan, the man behind some of the best horror shows on Netflix, includingmidnight fairmiThe Haunting of Hill House, brings another horror story to our screens with this adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's chilling tale. It tells the story of a man who visits his childhood friend, Roderick Usher. But as you'll know if he's familiar with Poe's classic work, this is not a happy reunion as the man learns that Usher buried his twin sister alive in the family vault! This has dire consequences for Usher and his friend, but we won't reveal the details of the plot for fear of spoiling the surprises to come.
Bruce Greenwood, Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas, and Mark Hammil are among the cast members of this new limited series, which will likely be the last show Flanagan is developing for Netflix (at least for a while). theI'm a doctorThe director recently signed a deal with Amazon Prime to create a series of new shows, including an adaptation of Stephen King's book.to the black towernovel series, so you may have to shell out for a Prime subscription if you want Flanagan to keep giving you nightmares.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
This prequel series mainly focuses on the life and love of the young Queen Charlotte (India Amarteifio), but also introduces other characters.BridgetonAlso appearing, including Violet Ledger/Bridgerton (Connie Jenkins-Greig) and Agatha Danbury (Arsema Thomas). So if you've ever wondered what these characters looked like when they were young, now is your chance.
Not much has been revealed about the plot of this new show, but you can expect Queen Charlotte to rise to prominence and power over the course of the 8 episodes. According to Netflix, the show will also explore "the great love story of Charlotte and King George III and how it sparked social change and created the world of society inherited by the Bridgerton characters."
If you are a fan ofBridgeton, you will be pleased to know that a third season of this show is on the way. There's no confirmed release date yet, but there are rumors of a summer 2023 release.
