This Daufuskie gem is one of the few surviving 'oyster shacks' originally built by the freed slaves who inhabited the island around the turn of the century. Living in this cottage is a true Gullah experience with many original features including bead molding, pine floors and one of the first staircases built on the island. it is located next to the Iron Fish Gallery (and decorated with his works). Dogs are welcome.
